Senior Engineering Manager - Software Engineering & Cloud

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager with a strong business mindset and deep technical expertise. While technical credibility is important, the primary focus of this role is leadership, decision-making, and strategic alignment. The ideal candidate will guide engineering teams, drive delivery excellence, and ensure technical solutions support long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

• Set the technical direction and establish architectural standards for large-scale distributed systems.

• Validate designs, challenge technical decisions, and guide teams through complex trade-offs.

• Ensure that technical choices support business objectives, scalability, and long-term sustainability.

People & Delivery Leadership

• Lead and develop engineering teams, owning performance management, mentoring, and career growth.

• Drive execution through planning, sequencing, dependency, and risk management.

• Maintain a strong delivery focus in remote or hybrid environments.

Business & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary interface between engineering and business leadership.

• Align technical execution with strategic priorities and manage stakeholder expectations.

• Provide thoughtful guidance in high-ambiguity environments.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 5+ years of Back End experience with Java and Spring Boot.

• Strong experience in designing and operating large-scale distributed systems.

• Expertise in system design at Amazon/Google-level rigor.

• Proven people management experience.

• Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills.

• Comfortable operating in high-ambiguity environments.

• Flexibility to collaborate across time zones in remote settings.

Nice to Have:

• Background or strong exposure to business or management.

• Experience balancing technical leadership with people leadership.

• Experience with Agile delivery at scale.
