Role1: Founding Engineer - YC-Backed AI Startup

Location: Leuven/Brussels, Belgium • Type: Full-Time

• Experience: 3-7 years • Salary: $80K-$120K + Equity

Tech Stack: TypeScript + Node JS.

Job Description:

You'll take high ownership of our backend systems from infrastructure and APIs to ML-driven tools that enhance recruiter workflows. You'll ship fast, scale with confidence, and help shape the technical culture alongside the founders.

• TypeScript
• Node.js (No Supabase)
• PostgreSQL
• AI/ML Tooling (OpenAI APIs, vector DBs, etc.)

• 3-7 years of backend engineering experience
• Fluent in TypeScript + Node.js (or strong adjacent stack)
• Exposure to AI integrations or dev tooling is a big plus
• Startups or fast-paced environments preferred
• You're a builder - hands-on, scrappy, reliable
• English proficiency is enough (Dutch not required)

• Salary: $80K-$120K + Equity (0.4-0.8%)
• Relocation: EU relocation support (visa sponsorship not available)
• Work Mode: Hybrid ( 3 days onsite), HQ in Leuven/Brussels
