Business Development Manager - Intralogistics

They are expanding their reach across Europe into the Dutch market, seeking a Business Development Manager responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding their portfolio from scratch. We are looking for a candidate who has a strong background in automation with the ability to wear multiple hats from hunting for new business to consulting customers on the organisation's portfolio and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead business development efforts in the Netherlands, targeting clients in intralogistics, automation, and digital transformation.
- Cultivate and manage key accounts, fostering long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with consultants and technical teams to drive solution-oriented sales and smooth project delivery.
- Coordinate with international sales teams, contributing to strategy across the Benelux region, Italy, Spain, and France.
- Provide regular market insights, forecasts, and reports to senior management.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
To Succeed in this role you will need:
- Over 5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development within industrial automation, logistics, or digital transformation.
- A technical background (Engineering degree advantageous but not required).
- Proven ability in market mapping, client identification, and sales strategy execution.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with a consultative sales approach.
- Experience with tenders, investment projects, and strategic partnerships.
- Comprehensive knowledge of key industrial sectors, such as Plastics, Food, Chemicals, 3PL, Automotive.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently across the Benelux region and internationally.
