Our team is based in one of ourcentralLondon offices,near Moorgate station. Weoperatea hybrid working model, meeting to collaborate in the office three timesa week.
Your Impact
- Full Lifecycle Development: Work in an agile team to design, develop, test, and deliver new features and improvements to our products.
- DevOps & Microservices: Be trained on and help manage the operational side of ourhighly availablemicroservice architecture, including being part of an on-call rotation.
- Adaptable & Problem-Solver: Tackle varied and challenging problems daily, showing flexibility, a data-driven focus on quality, and an ability to learn new skills quickly.
- Ownership & Quality: Take responsibility for tasks, from building new functionality to developing automated tests and investigating issues, all with a level of high attention to detail.
- AI:Bringing yourdaily workflowto lifewithagenticAIfor enhanced productivity; contribute to Cisco's growth by using and applying AI in new scenarios and opportunities.
- Support & Growth: Receive dedicated mentorship and formal training from a supportive team of fellow engineers to help you get up to speed and grow your skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Analytical Degree: Bachelor's or higher degree in an analytical subject (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics).
- Coding Aptitude:3+ years ofprogramming experienceinRust orC++and the willingness to learn new languages quickly.Withtheexpectation tocontributeacrossRust/Java/C++/Pythoncodebases asrequired.
- Experience with Linux development: Experience with using Linux and developing software running on Linux.
- Experience with virtualisation and containers: An understanding of virtual machines and containerisation technologies, and experience with Docker.
Preferred Qualifications:
Any of the following skills would be particularlyadvantageous, but we welcome applications without these:
- Experience with data science / AI
- Familiarity withNATS.io
- Knowledge of networks and networking protocols (such as TCP/IP and HTTP)
- Exposure to cryptography
- Familiarity withSIP,audioand video coding, processing techniques, andrelatedtechnologies
- Familiarity with Git, DevOps, continuous integration, continuous delivery
