Job Description
SMB Technology Solutions Account Manager

We are seeking a SMB Technology Solutions Account Manager to drive new business growth and manage a select portfolio of small-to-mid sized Companies (10-400 users) in diverse industries. You will be hands-on in the entire sales lifecycle - from prospecting and lead generation to solution design, contract negotiation, and ongoing account management. Role & Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Identify and qualify potential SMB customers (10-400 users) across verticals, focusing on IT infrastructure, cloud services, cyber security, networking and other managed services
  • Develop a robust pipeline through cold outreach, networking, referrals and targeted marketing efforts
  • Conduct needs assessments, create tailored proposals, and deliver compelling presentation to decision makers (CFO's, CEOs, IT Managers)

Account & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for newly acquired and assigned house accounts, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and ongoing support
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding each SMB's IT requirements, challenges and growth plans.
  • Regularly perform check-ins and business reviews, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross selling additional solutions (e.g. security, cloud migration, unified communications)

Sales Strategy and Revenue Growth

  • Achieve (and exceed) assigned sales targets related to new logo acquisition and existing account expansion.
  • Develop strategic accounts, aligning solutions to SMB stakeholders' needs and budget cycles
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline data in the CRM, providing clear reporting to leadership

Collaboration and Solution Development

  • Collaborate with in-house technical teams, project managers and vendor partners to design customised IT solutions that address each client's unique business requirements
  • Offer strategic input to internal teams based on market insights and client feedback, helping refine solution offerings and go to market approaches.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technology innovation relevant to SMB clients

Continuous Improvement and Client Satisfaction

  • Champion a service-first mindset, ensuring top-notch client experiences from first contract through long-term partnerships
  • Gather client feedback to drive continuous improvements in product and service offerings.
  • Ensure all projects and proposals meet compliance and high-quality standards, delivering consistent outcomes for SMB clients

Skills required

  • Minimum 3 years of IT Sales or Business Development, ideally with direct experience selling to small and medium businesses
  • Demonstratable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a dynamic, target-driven environment

Technical Aptitude

  • Familiarity with core IT Solutions (e.g. managed services, cloud computing, cyber security, networking)
  • Ability to translate technical features into business benefits for non-technical SMB stakeholders
  • Comfortable creating tailored proposals and responding to SMB-focused RFPs or quotations
  • Ability to manage multiple deal cycles and deadlines simultaneously.

Relationship-building & Communication

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident in presenting solutions to C level, IT, or operations leads in SMBs
  • Skilled in nurturing ongoing client relationships, from initial prospecting to renewal and expansion

Resilience & Results Orientation

  • Thieves in a fast paced, target driven setting, effectively juggling multiple prospects and account responsibilities
  • Self-motivated, 'hunter' mentality, driven to secure new business opportunities.

  • £50-60k per annum + Commission: OTE designed to reward high performance in both new logo acquisition and existing account growth
