Description

We are recruiting for Site Managers to work on our Southwest Water Framework delivery, managing both potable and wastewater infrastructure projects across Devon and West Dorset.

The Site Manager has accountability for the safe, quality assured delivery of projects in accordance with client specifications and reporting requirements, and is responsible for driving forward the implementation of HSEQ requirements in line with the Network Plus processes and client expectations.

This role ensures that documentation, site records, forward planning, forecasting, progress photographs and on site status are maintained and that non conformities are closed out promptly and satisfactorily.

The Site Manager supports the Project/Contract Manager in delivering assigned projects, including staff management and optimal performance through final completion.

Reporting and management of physical progress and financial status of projects are also part of the role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the safe day to day set up and delivery of projects
  • Manage site resources to meet successful delivery, including subcontractors and visiting support
  • Liaise with the Project Manager regarding performance and reporting
  • Adhere to Network Plus SHEQW requirements
  • Ensure all documentation is completed and kept up to date (RAMS, Waste Management, CPP, COSHH, Programme, Street works notices, Communications, etc.)
  • Carry out site inductions and ensure toolbox talks are completed effectively
  • Maintain day to day liaison with the Contract Manager, Operations and Client Lead
  • Meet monthly reporting requirements
  • Manage commercial success of the project, including EW, Instructions and change control
  • Plan and manage handover and commissioning of new assets to SWW Operations
  • Arrange and chair weekly site meetings
  • Attend monthly site meetings
  • Update the Contract P6 Programme monthly
  • Compile short term programmes on site
Experience and Qualifications
  • Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction (preferable)
  • Knowledge of relevant management techniques (resource management, monitoring, and control, cost planning)
  • H&S qualification: IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS or similar
  • Knowledge of NRSWA Regulations
  • Understanding of Temporary Works Regulations (TWC/S)
  • Financial awareness
  • Excellent knowledge of Work Regulations, CDM 2015, H&S at Work Act 1974
  • Knowledge of contract law and appropriate Conditions of Contract (NEC 4)
  • Competence in deep excavations, civils, drainage, structures and water based schemes
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Good team management and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project software
  • Clean driving licence
