The RoleLeading our busy Single Point of Access (SPA) team, you'll play a key role in transforming how people access support. This is a fast-paced role requiring timely decisions, referral allocation and day-to-day leadership of SPA Officers. Working closely with the Team Leader, you'll oversee the operation of the VCSE-led Community Front Door.
Key Responsibilities- Leading and coordinating day-to-day operation of the Single Point of Access
- Carrying out person-centred, holistic conversations by phone or in person
- Developing outcomes-focused support plans and providing practical support
- Allocating cases and prioritising urgent or high-risk referrals
- Monitoring demand and capacity, escalating concerns as needed
- Acting as first point of contact for complex, urgent or sensitive referrals
- Identifying and escalating safeguarding concerns
- Providing line management, supervision and support to SPA Officers
- Several years' experience in a casework-style role, ideally with line management (or ready for your first step into managing others)
- Experience triaging referrals, assessing need and allocating workloads
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make timely decisions
- Sound understanding of safeguarding, risk management and professional boundaries
- Experience building partnerships across NHS, local authorities and voluntary organisations
- Strong organisational skills and confidence providing guidance and constructive challenge
- Committed to EDI and trauma-informed practice
- Confident with Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
