Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, are looking for a Simulation & Modelling Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will contribute to a fast-paced and challenging project, leveraging expertise in modelling and simulation to support the design and development of advanced guided weapon systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing models to support initial feasibility and concept proving studies
• Supporting design development and trade-off studies through modelling
• Providing models for ground testing, including Hardware in the Loop testing
• Generating models for trials programmes, including trials predictions and post-trial analysis
• Creating full system reference models for performance statements and design verification
• Integrating components within the team and from other project areas
• Designing, implementing, testing, and documenting models to comply with quality standards
• Interacting with functional teams, conducting technical analyses, and developing solutions
• Engaging with model users to ensure the model meets its intended use

Job Requirements:

• Experience in Simulation and Modelling, preferably within Aerospace projects
• Proficiency with The MathWorks products, specifically Simulink, Embedded MATLAB, and Stateflow
• Ability to produce computer simulations or Simulink models from mathematical specifications
• Understanding of the modelling process and working within a quality process
• Engineering Degree or Masters in Systems or Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
• Experience with Rational Team Concert or similar configuration management tools
• Knowledge of DOORS or similar requirement management tools
• Proficiency in C, FORTRAN, and Ada
