Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, are looking for a Simulation & Modelling Engineer to join their team.

Duration: 12-month contract
Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, are looking for a Simulation & Modelling Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will contribute to a fast-paced and challenging project, leveraging expertise in modelling and simulation to support the design and development of advanced guided weapon systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing models to support initial feasibility and concept proving studies
- Supporting design development and trade-off studies through modelling
- Providing models for ground testing, including Hardware in the Loop testing
- Generating models for trials programmes, including trials predictions and post-trial analysis
- Creating full system reference models for performance statements and design verification
- Integrating components within the team and from other project areas
- Designing, implementing, testing, and documenting models to comply with quality standards
- Interacting with functional teams, conducting technical analyses, and developing solutions
- Engaging with model users to ensure the model meets its intended use
- Experience in Simulation and Modelling, preferably within Aerospace projects
- Proficiency with The MathWorks products, specifically Simulink, Embedded MATLAB, and Stateflow
- Ability to produce computer simulations or Simulink models from mathematical specifications
- Understanding of the modelling process and working within a quality process
- Engineering Degree or Masters in Systems or Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
- Experience with Rational Team Concert or similar configuration management tools
- Knowledge of DOORS or similar requirement management tools
- Proficiency in C, FORTRAN, and Ada
