Sessional Youth Worker

To support the delivery of youth activities for The Attic Project. This work is in accordance with the Christian ethos of St Luke's Episcopal Church and the job description. Duties include assisting with planning and running sessions, engaging with young people, supporting volunteers, and following all safeguarding procedures.

The Attic Project has been running for more than twenty years as a SCIO. It came under the oversight of St Luke's Church this year.

Clanz, a youth club on a Thursday evening, has been running for several years and the young people are very settled. There are many more younger teenagers in the Kirkton area, and it was decided to set up a specific new evening for them on a Friday evening.

The new youth work role for sessional work or volunteers will therefore be from 6.30pm to 9pm on a Friday to take account of setting up and putting away at the end. The youth club is open from 7pm to 8.30pm. It will be staffed by three core youth work staff plus volunteers.

The sessional youth work rate for the youth work activities for the Friday Club and any additional hours will be £15 per hour on a casual basis.

The youth club is term-time only.

All staff will need to apply for a PVG with Disclosure Scotland.
