Job Description

Binnies, an RSK group company, is looking for a Senior or Principal Network Modeller to work within our Consultancy team on water projects.

As a Senior or Principal Network Modeller, you will have the opportunity to leverage your experience in various modelling activities, from model build and verification to optioneering, supporting project delivery across Binnies. Your work will involve different types of projects, including flooding and water quality. You will also lead and assist in training less experienced modellers to ensure successful project execution.

About the Role

You will support and mentor junior modellers to achieve:

  • Model build and verification of network models
  • Preparation of information for survey contractors
  • Production of project reports for clients
  • Delivery of network modelling projects within budgets and timelines
  • Client and external organisation liaison as needed
  • Supervision of junior team members
  • Assistance with bid production

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with ICE or CIWEM
  • Extensive knowledge of wastewater networks
  • Experience with wastewater modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM
  • Familiarity with GIS software (MapInfo and ArcGIS)
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Pro-active work approach
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Drive to deliver sustainable water and environmental solutions
  • Experience with other modelling software (fluvial or clean water)
  • Full driving license
  • Participation in industry committees (desirable)
  • Supportive attitude towards team members
