Location: Winchester (Commutable from Southampton, Eastleigh, Chandler's Ford, Andover, Basingstoke)

Salary: Up to £45,000 Basic Salary (DOE) - Reliable base pay with zero corporate target pressure

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday ONLY - STRICTLY NO WEEKENDS

Why Join Us?

Are you a Senior Technician looking for a workshop that values your technical mind as much as your spanner work? Step into a busy, long-established independent garage in Winchester where true fault-finding expertise is celebrated.

We are a trusted technical authority in the region. While our workload is diagnostic-heavy, we blend complex electrical fault-finding with core mechanical repairs and servicing. We give our senior technicians total autonomy, top-tier diagnostic platforms, and on-site training facilities to solve complex problems properly without corporate micromanagement.

What We Offer (Pay, Benefits & Perks):
  • Top Basic Pay: Up to £45,000 basic salary (Reliable income with no "bonus-chasing" stress)
  • 100% Weekend-Free: Guaranteed Monday to Friday schedule-keep every weekend strictly for yourself
  • Technical Autonomy: Full trust and freedom to diagnose, repair, and resolve complex issues your way
  • Specialist Development: On-site training facilities and fully funded pathways for EV/Hybrid systems
  • Modern Workshop: Work in a clean, professional environment equipped with up-to-date diagnostic kit and oscilloscopes
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Serving as the shop floor's senior technical authority across petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles (EV)
  • Conducting advanced electrical fault-finding, interpreting CAN bus communication, sensor/actuator live data, and wiring diagrams
  • Executing major mechanical repairs, complex component replacements, and high-level vehicle servicing
  • Resolving tricky, intermittent issues from initial diagnosis straight through to final mechanical completion
  • Mentoring and supporting junior technicians with technical guidance on complex bay challenges
  • Delivering clean, high-standard craftsmanship with a "fixed-first-time" focus
What We're Looking For:
  • Qualification: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience: Proven track record as a Senior or Diagnostic Vehicle Technician in a busy workshop or dealership
  • Skills: Expert diagnostic capabilities paired with strong, core mechanical repair competence
  • Licence: Valid full UK Driving Licence (EV/Hybrid certifications are a major bonus)
