Senior Structural Engineer

Senior Structural Engineer Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver structural design for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber buildings
• Complete structural calculations and prepare technical reports
• Design foundations, beams, columns, retaining walls, and other elements
• Produce drawings and detailed specifications
• Collaborate with architects to integrate designs
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities
• Conduct site inspections throughout construction
• Ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations, Eurocodes, and BCAR standards
• Support projects through concept, planning, tender, and build phases
• Work on schools, commercial facilities, industrial buildings, refurbishments, and extensions

Your New Job:

As a Structural Engineer, you'll be involved in the full project lifecycle-from initial concepts right through to construction. You'll work closely with architects, clients, and contractors to ensure safe and effective structural designs. This is a full-time role requiring on-site presence during construction phases.

What Are We Looking For?:

• Degree in Structural Engineering
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a consultancy
• Experience with structural analysis software (e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, MasterSeries, Robot, or similar)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit knowledge is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and Eurocodes
• Strong communication and project coordination abilities
• Full driving licence and own vehicle
• Currently based in Ireland, eligible to work, and available for full-time employment
