What will I be doing day-to-day?

At the very core, you will be focused on ensuring that our products meet customer expectations and are consistent with product design. You'll work closely with our Product Manager and Development Team to ensure product quality and reliability as we deliver the next iteration of the DRAMS solution, a web-based product currently being developed using Angular. This will involve maintaining and executing primarily automated tests on new and existing software.

Main Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Maintain and execute automated (currently Playwright) test plans and their assets, including test data, and other necessary components.

  • Ownership of the existing test framework and enhancing the suite into the future.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with our Development and Customer Care teams to help deliver projects within mapped timeframes.

  • Support the process for the creation and execution of manual test scripts, ensuring that testing frameworks and procedures are used correctly.

  • Define and document acceptance criteria and test plans for new development tasks based on analysis of functional requirements and user stories.

  • Record and report on test results, including failure modes, untestable designs, and other flaws and work with developers to address and resolve failures.

  • Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)

  • Keep user experience front of mind during testing and suggest usability improvements where necessary.

  • Continually look for opportunities to maximise testability and automatic testing coverage, suggesting and implementing improvements to working methods

Who will I report to?

You will report to our Product Manager. However, you will also work closely with other functional teams such as our Research & Development and Customer Care teams.

We'd love to chat if you have:

  • 5+ years in a testing role with similar responsibilities.

  • 3+ years automation testing experience (Playwright preferred).

  • A bachelor's degree in computing science or a related discipline (class 2:1 or higher).

  • A natural advocate for the end user, with a keen eye for usability, accessibility, and product experience.

  • Working knowledge of modern quality assurance and test management practices and tools.

  • Experience with accessibility testing is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with testing front-end applications developed in Angular.

  • Experience with Playwright is ideal; experience with Selenium, Cypress, or similar acceptable with willingness to cross-train.

  • Knowledge and experience in agile/waterfall methodologies

  • Excellent written and conversational communication skills.

  • A strong collaborative mindset, with the ability to partner effectively across teams to identify, troubleshoot, and solve quality issues.

  • An eye for detail and preference for "number problems" including comfort and skill working with numeric data.

  • The ability to meet deadlines consistently within the projected scopes.

  • Currently holds independent right to work in the UK.
