Senior Software Engineer - A role with a global energy provider delivering gas and electricity to businesses in the Netherlands. The position focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that drive innovation in sustainable energy and support robust, scalable systems.

Please note: Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and deliver complex IT solutions aligned with business goals and project requirements.
Implement and troubleshoot software applications, ensuring smooth deployment and proactive issue resolution.
Champion code quality by writing robust unit tests and maintaining strong test coverage.
Maintain and enhance existing systems, libraries, and services to improve performance and security.
Collaborate with stakeholders, team leads, and peers to align development efforts and ensure project success.
Contribute to ongoing projects and future platform enhancements with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

What You Bring

Strong backend development skills with C# (.NET, On-Premise & Azure)
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Hands-on experience with the Azure Cloud Platform - including WebApps, scalable architectures, and CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes)
Proficiency in Git and Azure DevOps
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
(Bonus) Knowledge of the Energy sector, especially smart meters and billing systems
