Senior Software Engineer - A role with a global energy provider delivering gas and electricity to businesses in the Netherlands. The position focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that drive innovation in sustainable energy and support robust, scalable systems.

Please note: Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and deliver complex IT solutions aligned with business goals and project requirements.
• Implement and troubleshoot software applications, ensuring smooth deployment and proactive issue resolution.
• Champion code quality by writing robust unit tests and maintaining strong test coverage.
• Maintain and enhance existing systems, libraries, and services to improve performance and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, team leads, and peers to align development efforts and ensure project success.
• Contribute to ongoing projects and future platform enhancements with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

What You Bring

• Strong backend development skills with C# (.NET, On-Premise & Azure)
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Hands-on experience with the Azure Cloud Platform - including WebApps, scalable architectures, and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in Git and Azure DevOps
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• (Bonus) Knowledge of the Energy sector, especially smart meters and billing systems
