Senior Planning Manager

Qualifications:

• Degree/HND/HNC in Construction / Engineering.
• Relevant competency skills cards required for site-based work.

Experience and Skills:

• Solid background in planning for construction projects and a strong understanding of pre-construction and tendering processes.
• Experience in planning for a wide range of build contracting projects.
• Proficiency in software such as Primavera / Asta Power Project.
• Experience from preconstruction and tendering.
• Understanding of commercial and contractual forms of contract.
• Knowledge of Safety and Environmental Management.

Responsibilities:

• Input into setting the Project Planning Policy.
• Provide timely contract planning information to Pre-Construction & Project Management Teams.
• Develop programme schedules to control the project lifecycle.
• Update schedules based on project progress and status.
• Create detailed schedules for subcontracts to prevent interface conflicts and ensure resource availability.
• Develop labour cost/resource profiles based on estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
• Forecast potential issues and propose solutions for proactive management.
• Assess variation events.
• Manage supply chain programmes in line with contract requirements.
• Perform ad hoc duties as required.
