Job Description

Lead or carry out design of mechanical services including Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV), Fire Protection System (FPS), Plumbing and Sanitary (P&S)
Review and/or produce/compile Detailed Calculations Report
Prepare presentation slides' technical/Design input
Lead liaison with Registered Inspector (RI) and relevant Authority on submission matters
Coordinate with Client, Consultant and Contractor on design, construction and submission aspects of projects
Attend technical / site meetings to resolve design issues and site problems
Monitor the project team in the preparation of drawings, reports, technical documentation, tenders and contract administration
Liaise with the Client and assist QP/Associate Director in identifying the needs and technical requirements of the Client
Ensure Design and Drawings conformance to Authorities and Code of Practice requirements
Prepare work (Design and Drawings) schedules and ensure conformance of such schedule. Monitor and ensure that submission schedules to Authorities are met
Support Tender bid related to M&E Design
Other duties arranged by Supervisor

Job Requirements

Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Min. 8 years of Design experience/ construction industry
Well versed in local practice, i.e. Code of Practice, Standards and local authority submission
Knowledge & experience in the process of obtaining TOP/CSC for the projects
Well versed in Mechanical Design Software, e.g. ASHRAE, E20, Trimble, Trace 700, etc
Knowledge in Drafting/BIM Software, e.g. AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, Naviswork, etc
Good report writing, communication and presentation skills
Effective in both English and Mandarin communication, with Mandarin proficiency supporting regular collaboration with Chinese enterprises.
