Job Description
  • Lead or carry out design of mechanical services including Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV), Fire Protection System (FPS), Plumbing and Sanitary (P&S)
  • Review and/or produce/compile Detailed Calculations Report
  • Prepare presentation slides' technical/Design input
  • Lead liaison with Registered Inspector (RI) and relevant Authority on submission matters
  • Coordinate with Client, Consultant and Contractor on design, construction and submission aspects of projects
  • Attend technical / site meetings to resolve design issues and site problems
  • Monitor the project team in the preparation of drawings, reports, technical documentation, tenders and contract administration
  • Liaise with the Client and assist QP/Associate Director in identifying the needs and technical requirements of the Client
  • Ensure Design and Drawings conformance to Authorities and Code of Practice requirements
  • Prepare work (Design and Drawings) schedules and ensure conformance of such schedule. Monitor and ensure that submission schedules to Authorities are met
  • Support Tender bid related to M&E Design
  • Other duties arranged by Supervisor
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Min. 8 years of Design experience/ construction industry
  • Well versed in local practice, i.e. Code of Practice, Standards and local authority submission
  • Knowledge & experience in the process of obtaining TOP/CSC for the projects
  • Well versed in Mechanical Design Software, e.g. ASHRAE, E20, Trimble, Trace 700, etc
  • Knowledge in Drafting/BIM Software, e.g. AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, Naviswork, etc
  • Good report writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Effective in both English and Mandarin communication, with Mandarin proficiency supporting regular collaboration with Chinese enterprises.
