Shape the next chapter of Beacon Hospital

Beacon Hospital is looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Communications Executive to join our dynamic marketing team in Sandyford, South Dublin. As one of Europe's most innovative and technologically advanced private hospitals, our 2,000+ staff work together to deliver exceptional patient care.

This is an exciting time to join Beacon Hospital. With a major hospital expansion due to open in early 2027, delivering more than 40% additional capacity alongside new and enhanced services, you will have the opportunity to help shape how we communicate an important period of growth and transformation.

Working closely with the Marketing Director and Marketing Manager, you will take ownership of high-quality, integrated campaigns and communications that strengthen the Beacon Hospital brand, support growth across key clinical services and engage patients, GPs, staff and wider stakeholders. You will also provide day-to-day leadership and development to the Marketing Communications Assistant.

The role will suit an accomplished marketing communications professional with 5+ years' experience who combines outstanding writing and creative skills with commercial awareness, strong organisation and the confidence to manage multiple high-profile projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead integrated campaigns - shape, plan and deliver creative campaigns that promote hospital services across press, radio, digital, social and other relevant channels, optimising timing and media investment to maximise target-audience reach and impact.
  • Turn expertise into compelling communications - partner with clinical teams to understand their services and translate complex clinical information into clear, accurate and engaging patient- and GP-facing content.
  • Measure and optimise performance - evaluate campaign effectiveness against investment, referrals and service growth, using insights to continuously improve future activity.
  • Champion communications excellence - maintain a consistently high standard across internal and external communications, ensuring content reflects Beacon Hospital's brand, values and profile in modern medicine.
  • Own key publications and content - oversee the timely production of the GP and staff newsletters, creating relevant content that informs, engages and connects our audiences.
  • Develop high-quality marketing materials - create professional, accurate content for digital marketing, the website, patient literature and other print and digital channels.
  • Build reputation and visibility - work closely with our PR agency to develop press releases, speeches and media stories, identify opportunities for consultant interviews and support activities that enhance Beacon Hospital's corporate profile.
  • Create engaging visual content - collaborate with photographers and videographers to produce creative assets that bring the Beacon Hospital brand and individual campaigns to life.
  • Protect and strengthen the brand - provide governance of brand guidelines, ensuring visual assets, copy and campaigns are consistent with our identity and values.
  • Manage design and production - lead the development of hospital literature in print and digital formats, coordinating with departments, design partners and Procurement from brief through to delivery.
  • Lead and develop others - support, motivate and develop junior team members while contributing positively to a collaborative, high-performing marketing team.
  • Bring fresh thinking - contribute new ideas, challenge convention constructively and identify creative opportunities to make our marketing more effective and engaging.

Key Skillset Required

  • A degree in marketing, English or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years' relevant marketing communications experience.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt complex information for different audiences and channels.
  • A creative mindset and genuine passion for marketing and communications.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence managing significant budgets and media investment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • A proactive, confident approach and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong capability across Microsoft Office, Canva and relevant marketing and digital tools.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to support, motivate and develop junior colleagues.

Why Join Beacon Hospital?

This is an opportunity to broaden your experience across the full marketing communications mix while developing your leadership capability in a high-profile healthcare environment. You will work on campaigns that have real visibility and impact, collaborate with clinical and business leaders, and help reshape communications around one of the most significant periods of growth in Beacon Hospital's development.
