This is a strategic and high-impact role aligned to the Chief People Office (including HR and Corporate Communications), with a significant focus on complex Employee Relations across the organisation. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, driving people strategies that support business priorities while ensuring fair, consistent, and commercially sound outcomes.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a dynamic, commercially minded individual that has previous experience working for a matrixed, Financial Services business. Strong Employee Relations experience is essential as well as a pragmatic and flexible approach and superb stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert, independent advice on complex employee relations matters, including cases with regulatory, reputational, or legal risk.
  • Lead the HR elements of organisational change, restructuring, and consultation processes.
  • Partner with senior leaders to drive Organisational Development initiatives, including operating model design, role clarity, spans & layers, and structural efficiencies.
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition and Talent Development on resourcing strategies, succession planning, and leadership capability building.
  • Collaborate with Reward teams on performance differentiation, pay outcomes, and senior-level reward discussions.
  • Translate business strategy into people-focused initiatives and deliver actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Identify ER capability gaps and support the development of managers and HR teams through coaching, training, and process improvement.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of ER policies, processes, and operational excellence across the organisation.
Requirements
  • Seasoned HR Business Partner with a strong track record in complex Employee Relations and change management.
  • Confident advising and influencing senior stakeholders with sound judgement, commercial awareness, and credibility.
  • Experience operating in an international financial services environment (highly desirable).
  • Deep understanding of UK employment law and regulatory considerations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, matrixed organisation.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a solutions-focused, growth mindset.
  • Pragmatic, commercially minded approach to ER and people issues.
What We Offer
  • Associate Director level role with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
  • Hybrid working model based in Central London.
  • Opportunity to work on high-profile strategic HR initiatives in a truly global organisation.
  • Strong focus on personal development, wellbeing, and inclusive culture.
  • Dynamic, supportive team environment with genuine flexibility.
  • This role would suit an accomplished Senior HRBP looking for a role with genuine strategic impact, heavy ER exposure, and the chance to partner with senior leaders across Group Functions.
