Senior HR Business Partner - Group Functions
A leading, global Financial Services organisation is now seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join our Group Functions HR team.
This is a strategic and high-impact role aligned to the Chief People Office (including HR and Corporate Communications), with a significant focus on complex Employee Relations across the organisation. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, driving people strategies that support business priorities while ensuring fair, consistent, and commercially sound outcomes.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a dynamic, commercially minded individual that has previous experience working for a matrixed, Financial Services business. Strong Employee Relations experience is essential as well as a pragmatic and flexible approach and superb stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities- Provide expert, independent advice on complex employee relations matters, including cases with regulatory, reputational, or legal risk.
- Lead the HR elements of organisational change, restructuring, and consultation processes.
- Partner with senior leaders to drive Organisational Development initiatives, including operating model design, role clarity, spans & layers, and structural efficiencies.
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition and Talent Development on resourcing strategies, succession planning, and leadership capability building.
- Collaborate with Reward teams on performance differentiation, pay outcomes, and senior-level reward discussions.
- Translate business strategy into people-focused initiatives and deliver actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Identify ER capability gaps and support the development of managers and HR teams through coaching, training, and process improvement.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of ER policies, processes, and operational excellence across the organisation.
- Seasoned HR Business Partner with a strong track record in complex Employee Relations and change management.
- Confident advising and influencing senior stakeholders with sound judgement, commercial awareness, and credibility.
- Experience operating in an international financial services environment (highly desirable).
- Deep understanding of UK employment law and regulatory considerations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, matrixed organisation.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a solutions-focused, growth mindset.
- Pragmatic, commercially minded approach to ER and people issues.
