Senior Energy Markets & Forecasting Consultant

SATIGO is looking to engage a Senior Energy Markets & Forecasting Consultant to support an upcoming programme within the UK regulated utilities sector.

We are looking for an experienced energy specialist with hands-on experience producing investment-grade energy price forecasts and strategic market analysis for major energy users, utilities or infrastructure organisations.

Key experience

You will ideally have experience across:

• UK wholesale electricity and gas markets

• Long-term energy price forecasting, including 15-25 year horizons

• Commodity and non-commodity cost forecasting

• Scenario and sensitivity modelling

• Carbon pricing, renewable generation and storage

• Forecast methodology, assumptions and historic back-testing

• Translating market, regulatory and policy changes into commercial impacts

• Tailoring forecasts to client consumption profiles, sites and investment requirements

• Presenting complex analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Forecasting capability

We are particularly interested in consultants with hands-on experience using recognised energy forecasting models, platforms, datasets or market intelligence tools to produce investment-grade forecasts.

You should be comfortable explaining the methodology behind forecasts, key assumptions, scenario modelling, data sources, forecast accuracy and how outputs are used to support major commercial or investment decisions.

Desirable experience

Experience within one or more of the following would be beneficial:

Utilities | Water | Energy | Infrastructure | Regulated Markets | PPAs | Energy Procurement | Battery Storage | Network Charging | Ofgem/DESNZ Policy

This is a specialist consultancy engagement where you would work as part of a wider managed delivery capability, with SATIGO providing programme governance, PMO and delivery assurance.
