Senior Data Analytics & AI Engineer - Ireland

Global Technology Solutions (GTS) at ResMed is a division that develops secure, scalable platforms to benefit patients, providers, and partners worldwide. The Senior Data Analytics & AI Engineer will join the GTS team in Ireland, working in a hybrid model that requires one day per week onsite in our Sandyford, Dublin office. The role focuses on designing data products, building robust data pipelines, and advancing AI capabilities across ResMed's data ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design data and AI products and applications, integrating system interfaces, data model transformations, and user interfaces while adhering to engineering best practices.
• Build and evolve data pipelines using Python, Spark, APIs, and ingestion frameworks, with an emphasis on automation, observability, and resilient design patterns.
• Develop high quality Snowflake/dbt models, implement governance and testing standards, and mentor junior engineers in scalable modeling and system design.
• Collaborate cross functionally with product, engineering, and data science teams to deliver impactful, scalable solutions.
• Drive advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities by defining feature pipelines, supporting classical ML models, and enabling AI driven workloads, including LLM based and hybrid ML/AI architectures.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of senior level experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data architecture.
• Expert level SQL and data modeling on large scale platforms, preferably Snowflake.
• Strong experience building production data pipelines and models with Python, cloud services, and modern data stack tools.
• Proficiency with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to set technical direction, define architectural patterns, and establish engineering best practices.
• Solid experience with Git/GitHub workflows, including branching strategies and collaborative development.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, including automated testing and secure deployments.
• Operational knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Nice to have: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field; familiarity with Dagster, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools; experience with streaming or event based processing (Kafka, Flink, Kinesis); familiarity with IaC (Terraform).
• Experience with classical machine learning, advanced analytics, and generative AI, and supporting ML/AI workflows or integrating ML into data products.
