NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a fixed term post of 8 months (until August 2026).
The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm, plus on call.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for candidates to join a growing team at the Institute of Neurological Sciences. The Senior Clinical Fellow in Neurosurgery position in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde in a UK renowned fellowship that provides exceptional training and educational access, alongside widening a trainee's clinical experience and management capabilities.
NHSGGC Spinal Neurosurgery Fellowship
The post holder will be expected to support in the delivery of ward based and clinic based activities, as well as supporting the access to theatres to develop a fellow's skills. This fellowship is a general neurosurgical fellowship, and the post holder will be expected to participate in a 16 person trainee rota for the out of hours cover.

- Applicants who have not undertaken a UK foundation programme within 3.5 years of the advertised post start date, will be asked to submit a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training (CREST). The CREST form must be completed by a consultant who has worked with you for a minimum continuous period of three months whole time equivalent wholly within the 3.5 years prior to the advertised post start date for which you are applying.
