Senior Arboriculture Consultant

Opportunity:

We're currently seeking experienced arboriculture consultants to take on a senior arboriculture consultant role in Manchester, working for a major multidisciplinary environmental firm. As the new senior arboriculture consultant, you'll be taking the lead on a variety of engaging projects and providing expert advice to clients on issues relating to trees and development. Additionally, this role offers a 4-day workweek for 5-day pay, providing a 3-day weekend each week for personal growth, family, or leisure. You'll work across multiple sectors including renewables, residential & commercial property, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

As the senior arboriculture consultant, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading arboriculture projects and planning policy.
• Submitting planning documents such as TPO work applications, AIAs, and Method Statements.
• Mentoring and guiding junior staff members.
• Acting as a professional point of contact for clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

To qualify for this role, you should meet as many of the following criteria as possible:

• Strong experience with BS5837 consultancy and arboricultural planning.
• An academic qualification in arboriculture or a related environmental subject.
• At least a technical membership with the Arboriculture Association.
• Experience working directly with clients and networking within the sector.
• A keen interest in the technical aspects of arboriculture and their relation to the UK planning system.
• Ideally, at least 3 years of experience in arboriculture.
