The Role
Teamlead Planning & Control
As Teamlead Planning & Control, you will lead a team of controllers and play a key role in shaping the financial strategy and operational excellence of the organization. You will act as a hands-on leader and sparring partner for the business, driving improvements in financial processes, reporting, and decision-making. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding the team and the organization through a phase of professionalization and digital transformation.
The Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team of 5 controllers and 1 administrative staff member.
- Collaborate with the Head of Finance & Operations to define and implement financial policies.
- Coordinate the full planning & control cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, annual accounts, audits, and tax matters.
- Serve as the primary contact for auditors and tax advisors.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and provide actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements and innovation within Planning & Control, including the use of BI tools and dashboards.
- Monitor financial health and compliance of projects and investments, ensuring adherence to relevant guidelines and subsidy conditions.
- Support strategic decision-making through investment analyses, risk assessments, and performance monitoring.
- Contribute to the organization's transition to data-driven and digital operations.
- Actively support change management and team development in a scale-up environment.
The Requirements
- Academic working and thinking level, with a degree in Controlling and/or Accountancy (RA or RC).
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in financial management roles.
- Experience with investment activities, venture capital, sustainability financing, or innovation project management.
- Proficiency in portfolio valuation and integrated risk management.
- Strong knowledge of administrative, reporting, and BI systems.
- Preferably experienced with public funding and reporting to public stakeholders.
- Proven track record in change management.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
The Offer
- A full-time position (40 hours/week), with part-time options (minimum 32 hours).
- Annual salary between €105,000 and €125,000, including holiday allowance and 13th month, depending on experience and qualifications.
