Learning Mentor & SEN Support Assistant Location: Tiverton, Cornwall Contract: Full-Time Permanent Opportunity Available Support Young People to Thrive A specialist educational provision in Tiverton is seeking a dedicated and proactive Learning Mentor & SEN Support Assistant to join their growing team.

You will work closely with pupils who require additional support due to a range of special educational needs, providing encouragement, structure, and guidance throughout their educational journey.

The Opportunity In this role, you will become a key part of a supportive team focused on delivering positive outcomes for students.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing personalised support to pupils both in and out of the classroom
• Helping students develop confidence, independence, and emotional resilience
• Supporting young people with Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, and other learning differences
• Encouraging engagement with learning through creative and practical approaches
• Assisting with the implementation of individual support plans
• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting emotional regulation
• Supporting pupils during enrichment activities, educational visits, and community-based learning
• Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals

What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working within education, care, youth work, support work, or a similar setting
• Be patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic
• Have a genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs
• Be confident building positive and professional relationships
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle
• Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one Benefits
