SEN Teaching Assistan

Location: Scarborough
Salary: £88 - £110 per day
Contract: Full Time / Part Time
Start Date: Immediate or September 2026

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a secondary school in Scarborough.

About the School

This inclusive secondary school provides a supportive and structured learning environment where pupils with additional needs are encouraged to achieve their full potential. Staff work closely with the SENCO and pastoral teams to provide tailored academic and emotional support.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support
• Support pupils with ASD, ADHD and learning difficulties
• Assist teachers with differentiated classroom activities
• Promote engagement, independence and confidence
• Work closely with the SEN team and subject staff

Requirements

• Previous SEN experience preferred
• Experience in a secondary school setting desirable
• Patient and resilient approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
