SEN Teacher / SENDCo

Location: Luton

Salary: £45,000 - £62,000 per annum (Dependent on experience, generous salary bracket + SEN allowance)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

In this pivotal position, you will play a leading role in designing, implementing, and monitoring high-quality support plans for students with diverse learning needs. You will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure every young person has a safe, predictable, and ambitious environment in which to thrive.

Key Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • NASENCO Qualification (National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination) is mandatory for this post (or an equivalent completed mandatory SENDCo qualification).
  • A proven track record of teaching and coordinating provisions for pupils with a wide range of additional needs.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to coach and inspire classroom teachers in adaptive teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage partnerships with families and local authority stakeholders.
