PE Teacher

Flourish Education is recruiting for a PE Teacher to join a secondary school in Solihull from September 2026 until the Christmas break. This is a full-time or part-time opportunity to teach Physical Education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and support students in developing their practical skills, fitness, and knowledge of the subject.

The successful PE Teacher will plan and deliver lessons to students with a range of abilities, assess progress, and maintain effective classroom and behaviour management. The role would suit an experienced PE Teacher or an ECT looking to gain further experience within a secondary school.

Job Role:

• Teach engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Plan and deliver lessons that cater for a range of abilities and sporting interests

• Develop students' practical skills, knowledge and understanding of Physical Education

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback

• Promote positive attitudes towards sport, fitness, health and wellbeing

• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the PE department

Required Skills and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Physical Education - ECTs are welcome to apply

• Previous experience teaching PE within a UK secondary school

• Strong knowledge of Physical Education and a range of sporting activities

• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons independently

• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills

This PE Teacher opportunity is based in Solihull and is easily accessible from Shirley, Knowle, Dorridge, Acocks Green, Hall Green, Birmingham, Coventry, Redditch, and surrounding areas. The school is well-served by public transport and offers on-site parking for staff.
