Milk Education is recruiting resilient and inspirational SEMH Teachers to work across specialist provisions and alternative settings in Bradford from September. Our partner schools support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning through consistency, structure and positive relationships.
This role is ideal for teachers who are passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting young people to achieve both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, personalised lessons to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Build positive relationships that encourage trust, confidence and engagement.
- Implement behaviour support strategies and restorative approaches.
- Adapt learning to meet individual academic and emotional needs.
- Monitor progress and contribute to personalised learning plans.
- Work closely with pastoral teams, SENCOs and external agencies.
- Promote resilience, independence and emotional wellbeing.
- Create a calm, safe and supportive classroom environment.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour is desirable.
- Calm, patient and resilient approach.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Committed to inclusive education and raising outcomes.
