Job descriptionSchool of Performing Arts and Conservatoire
Fixed-term contract for 60 hours (October 2026 to May 2027)
Hourly rate: £49.30 inclusive of holiday pay
Join our highly professional, committed and student focused academic team, based at the Chichester campus. The postholder will contribute to the delivery of Acting technique classes to level 4 students on the BA (Hons) Acting course.
About youThe appointed postholder will have a strong background and experience in acting and/or actor training. The role will include developing content to shape the delivery of the Acting programme.
Your teaching will be informed by a combination of practical experience and/or research to support high quality learning and teaching. You will also demonstrate experience of using Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), and the use of technologies to enhance the learning, assessment of and feedback to our students.
About the teamYou will work within the team to strengthen the distinctiveness of the University's student experience as high-quality, personalised, accessible and aspirational. You'll need to demonstrate an ability to work effectively and positively within a small academic team, excellent teaching methods with the ability to develop a variety of approaches to learning and teaching that is student-centred, inclusive and flexible.
