Job Description

we are seeking an experienced Screening Analyst to join a high-performing KYC and Financial Crime team. This role is responsible for conducting sanctions, PEP, watchlist, and adverse media screening across an existing client portfolio, helping to identify and mitigate financial Crime and reputational risks.

The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing alerts, conducting investigations, assessing potential matches, and ensuring that risk-related matters are escalated in line with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Review sanctions, PEP, watchlist, and adverse media alerts generated through screening systems.
• Investigate potential matches and determine whether alerts are true matches or false positives.
• Conduct detailed research and analysis using internal and external sources.
• Escalate confirmed risks in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and audit-ready case documentation.
• Perform additional screening and due diligence activities where required.
• Support urgent transaction screening requests and contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives.

Skills and Experience

• Previous Experience in KYC, AML, Sanctions Screening, Financial Crime, or Client Due Diligence roles.
• Experience using tools such as World-Check, LexisNexis, Alacra, Factiva, NICE Actimize, or similar screening platforms.
• Strong understanding of AML, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, terrorist financing, and financial Crime risks.
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to produce clear and concise written reports and risk assessments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of UK AML regulations and financial Crime frameworks is highly desirable.
