Overview

Berkeley Scott is recruiting School Catering Assistants - Temp - Swindon to join busy school teams across Swindon. These term time positions involve food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining hygiene in primary and secondary schools. Applicants must hold or obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate. Shifts are daytime and flexible, with weekly pay and holiday pay accrued. Pay ranges from £12.71 to £13.45 per hour, depending on experience and site.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation
• Serving meals to students and staff
• Maintaining high levels of kitchen hygiene
• Cleaning and clearing kitchen and dining areas
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous catering or hospitality experience (preferred but not essential)
• Experience in school or contract catering (desirable)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Professional, reliable, and organised approach
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude
