School Catering Assistants - Temp - Portsmouth

Berkeley Scott are recruiting temporary catering assistants to work in primary and secondary schools across Portsmouth and surrounding areas. These part time, term time shifts are daytime only, paid £12.71-13.45 per hour plus holiday pay, with weekly pay.

Applicants must be reliable, hardworking and hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to obtain one). Previous catering or hospitality experience is preferable but not essential - full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation
• Serve meals to students and staff
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
• Clear and clean dining areas after service
• Support the kitchen team during busy periods

What we're looking for

• Previous catering or hospitality experience (preferred but not essential)
• Experience in school or contract catering (desirable)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Professional, reliable and organised approach
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude
