Schemes Account Handler/Underwriter - Leading Insurance Broker

Location: Leeds City Centre

Salary: Up to £32,000 + excellent benefits

We are delighted to be supporting a leading Insurance Broker that has recently undergone exciting developments, creating an excellent opportunity for a Schemes Account Handler/Underwriter to join their team in Leeds.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment where you'll provide tailored insurance solutions to property based clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to client queries promptly and professionally, delivering outstanding customer service
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their insurance needs and identifying opportunities to enhance cover
  • Process new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, and cancellations, ensuring accurate and compliant client records
  • Liaise with insurers to ensure policies meet client requirements and secure favourable terms where possible
  • Ensure all activities comply with FCA regulations and company compliance policies, keeping up to date with regulatory changes
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to deliver seamless client support, sharing knowledge and best practices

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in insurance, either with personal lines or commercial risks
  • A basic understanding of insurance products and market practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to quickly learn internal systems
  • Awareness of FCA regulations and industry compliance requirements
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients, insurers, and internal teams
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate issues and offer practical solutions
  • Analytical skills to support renewals and related administrative processes
  • Progress toward (or willingness to pursue) CII qualifications, with full support provided by the business
  • Experience with Acturis is desirable, though full training will be offered
