Schemes Account Handler/Underwriter - Leading Insurance Broker
Location: Leeds City Centre
Salary: Up to £32,000 + excellent benefits
We are delighted to be supporting a leading Insurance Broker that has recently undergone exciting developments, creating an excellent opportunity for a Schemes Account Handler/Underwriter to join their team in Leeds.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment where you'll provide tailored insurance solutions to property based clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to client queries promptly and professionally, delivering outstanding customer service
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their insurance needs and identifying opportunities to enhance cover
- Process new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, and cancellations, ensuring accurate and compliant client records
- Liaise with insurers to ensure policies meet client requirements and secure favourable terms where possible
- Ensure all activities comply with FCA regulations and company compliance policies, keeping up to date with regulatory changes
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to deliver seamless client support, sharing knowledge and best practices
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in insurance, either with personal lines or commercial risks
- A basic understanding of insurance products and market practices
- Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to quickly learn internal systems
- Awareness of FCA regulations and industry compliance requirements
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Confident verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients, insurers, and internal teams
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate issues and offer practical solutions
- Analytical skills to support renewals and related administrative processes
- Progress toward (or willingness to pursue) CII qualifications, with full support provided by the business
- Experience with Acturis is desirable, though full training will be offered
