We are working with a leading global IT and business consulting firm, deeply Embedded in UK Defence and National Security, to identify an experienced SC-cleared Cloud Engineer to join their defence team.

This isn't a Back Office IT role, you'll be building and operating secure cloud platforms that directly support national security operations, working alongside architects, security specialists and operations teams on complex, high-stakes environments most engineers never get near. You'll get exposure to cutting-edge cloud, automation and infrastructure-as-code work, on programmes where getting it right actually matters to the country.

Essential:

• Active SC clearance
• UK resident for a minimum of 5 years
• Due to the secure nature of the role, candidates must be sole UK nationals
• Hands-on cloud engineering experience (AWS, Azure or GCP), deployment, automation, or platform operations
• Comfortable working within secure, regulated environments

Desirable:

• Defence, Intelligence, or wider public sector background
• Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM)
• Military transition candidates with hands-on technical cloud experience
