Surgical Sales Specialist - Brussels Region


Established Search are partnered with a supplier of high-quality surgical ophthalmology products in the hiring of a new Surgical Specialist to cover Brussels and central Belgium. The company provides innovative solutions across cataract, retina, refractive surgery and diagnostic devices to private clinics and hospitals across Belgium. The main focus of the Surgical Specialist will be to drive the ICL/IOL portfolio of the company.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop sales of intraocular lenses, instruments, etc. through the ongoing management of account relationships at all levels of the organization (hospitals and clinics/private practices).
  • Understanding of client needs and the role physicians, nurses, support staff, and hospital administration play in the sales process to establish plans and solutions that meet short- and long-term needs.
  • Monitoring hospital strategies and market developments and communicating with colleagues to develop a shared strategy.
  • Develop a scientific mindset to properly position surgical products and understand their function and use.
  • Close collaboration with the surgeon and their assistants is required, including selecting the right product and preparing it. Assistance in the operating room is common.
  • Organize product demonstrations and train ophthalmologists and others, and be responsible for handling them.
  • Participation in European and Belgian conferences and organization of events with a scientific program.


Required Skills & Experiences:


  • 3+ years of experience with medical/surgical sales.
  • 3+ years of experience in the field of ophthalmology.
  • High degree of autonomy and responsibility.
  • Language skills including Dutch, French and English
