Marriott's Medical Practices have the opportunity for 1 enthusiastic and motivated salary GP to join our friendly and supportive clinical team working at our Taverham Surgery on a part time basis of 4 sessions per week.
Main duties of the job- Become an integral part of our close-knit team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing top-notch care. Engage in team-building events that foster collaboration and a positive working atmosphere.
- Conduct patient consultations, including diagnosis and treatment.
- Manage chronic diseases and provide preventive care.
- Perform minor surgical procedures and emergency care as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with best practices.
- Refer patients to specialists and other healthcare providers when necessary.
- Participate in practice meetings and contribute to the development of practice policies.
- Support and mentor junior staff and trainees.
We are a dynamic and forward-thinking training practice committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to our community. Our practice is well-established with two surgeries, free onsite parking, and a supportive team environment.
Our Practice includes
- 10 GPs
- 3 Advanced Practitioners
- Supportive nursing and administrative teams
We are a training practice and work closely with the UEA, teaching 1st, 2nd and 4th year Medical Students, as well as ST1 and ST3. We also support foundation year 2.
Job responsibilitiesDuties:

Person Specification Qualifications- Qualified GP
- MRCGP
- Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
- General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
- Experience of working in a primary care environment
- Experience of continued professional development
- Experience of QOF and clinical audit
- Experience of medicines management
- General understanding of the primary care contract
- Outstanding level of clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with that of an experienced GP
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Clear, polite telephone manner
- Competent in the use of Office and Outlook
- Effective time management (planning and organising)
- Ability to work as a team member and autonomously
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to follow clinical policy and procedure
- Experience with audit and able to lead audit programmes
- Experience with clinical risk management
- Minimum of two years as a salaried GP
- Experience of ICB initiatives
