Salaried GP - ARRS

The Deben Health Group Primary Care Network (PCN) has an exciting opportunity for a Salaried GP under the ARRS scheme to work within our PCN supporting up to 8 sessions per week. We are seeking a newly qualified GP within the last 2 years who has not yet held a substantive post-qualification position.
The post-holder will manage a caseload and address a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring high standards of care for all registered and temporary patients across two sites.
Main duties of the job- Undertake various duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, on-call duties, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and handling queries, paperwork, and correspondence promptly. This includes sharing workflow and path reports.
- Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Participate in activities such as the QOF, LES/DES, and other essential services to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Provide counseling and health education.
- Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
The Deben Health Group PCN is located in scenic Suffolk, near Woodbridge, close to Sutton Hoo and Constable country. It comprises four member practices-Wickham Market Medical Centre, The Peninsula Practice, Little St Johns Street Surgery, and Framfield House Surgery-with a combined patient population of approximately 40,000, each with unique strengths and expertise.
Our goal is to leverage these strengths and foster collaboration among our network members to achieve the objectives outlined in the NHS England and NHS Improvement's Directed Enhanced Service Contract (DES). By working together, we aim to improve the quality and efficiency of care, offering a wide range of services and coordinated support to enhance patient outcomes.

Person Specification Qualifications- Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
- Annual appraisal and revalidation (as appropriate)
- Registered on the NHSE medical performers list
- Good understanding of chronic disease management, primary prevention, and screening services
- Ability to take responsibility for your career development, learning, and performance, ensuring all mandatory training is up to date
- Awareness of and compliance with relevant practice policies and guidelines, such as prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, and health and safety
- Commitment to lifelong learning and conducting audits to ensure evidence-based practice
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, maintaining confidentiality
This position is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A Disclosure to check for any criminal convictions will be required through the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB).
