Scale: £11,500-12,400 per session depending on experience

Accountable to: GP partners / Practice Manager

Annualleave : 18 days (6 weeks pro rata)Per Calendar year plus bank holiday pro rata

Study leave 3 days

Chatsworth Road Medical Centre is seeking an enthusiasticand committed Salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive, andwell-established team in a permanent post starting September 2026.

You will be working 6 sessions per week and joining anexcellent team consisting of 4 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, Practice Nurses,and a PCN Pharmacy Team. We are looking for a GP who shares our ethos, valuesteamwork, and is keen to contribute to the long-term development of thepractice.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced GPs andnewly qualified GPs.

Main duties of the job

You will work as a salaried General Practitioner, using your professionalskills and clinical knowledge to deliver a high standard of patient-centredcare within a supportive and collaborative team.

The role involves a mix of face-to-face and telephoneconsultations, alongside management of clinical correspondence and results,repeat prescribing, and home visits where appropriate.

You will also participate in Extended Access provision andtake a fair and equitable share of on-call duties as part of the clinical teamrota.

Chatsworth Road Medical Centre is a friendly associate trainingpractice that serves 9900 patients in a small catchment area in Chesterfield.We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, patient-focused primary care andplace strong emphasis on teamwork, learning together, and continuous serviceimprovement. We are a high QOF achieving practice with low home visiting rates,supported by wider services. We use SystmOne as our clinical system and aresupported by SystmConnect to enhance access.

Job Summary

Youwill work as an autonomous salaried General Practitioner, using yourprofessional skills and clinical knowledge to deliver a high standard ofpatient-centred care within a supportive and collaborative team.

Therole involves a mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations, alongsidemanagement of clinical correspondence and results, repeat prescribing, and homevisits where appropriate.

Youwill also participate in Extended Access provision and take a fair andequitable share of on-call duties as part of the clinical team rota.

Furthermore,the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice,leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationshipwith the multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

The following are the coreresponsibilities of the salaried GP. There may be on occasion, a requirement toconduct other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload andstaffing levels:

The delivery of highlyeffective medical care to the entitled population commensurate with the GMS contract, undertaking responding to patients face to face, by telephone or online as appropriate.

Maintain accurate,contemporaneous record on practice computer system for all patient contacts

Communicate with othermembers of PHCT and outside agencies to plan and provide care which meetspatients needs

Prescribe in accordance withlocal and national guidance

Effective management oflong-term conditions

Review and adhere topractice protocols and policies including those on confidentiality, equalityand diversity, GDPR, health and safety and infection control

Process administration in atimely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and otherassociated administrative tasks

Undertake on call duties ona rotational basis

Participate in advancedaccess hours on a rotational basis

Work collaboratively,accepting an equal share of the practice workload

Adhere to best practicerecommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process

Contribute to the successfulimplementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within thepractice

Attend and contributeeffectively to practice meetings as required

Commit to self-learning andinstil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team

Participate in mandatorytraining

Ensure compliance with theappraisal and revalidation process

Work within practiceguidelines for safeguarding children and adults

  • MRCGP
  • Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP

  • Full GMC Registration

  • Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
