Room Attendant

Overview

Room Attendant - Rate of Pay / Hours: £12.50ph / 32 hours; Type of Contract: Permanent position; Location: Malmaison Belfast.

Working as part of the Housekeeping team you will ensure all guest bedrooms within the hotel are cleaned on a daily basis to the highest of standards. You will have an eye for detail and naturally high standards to meet our guests expectations of a perfect night's stay.

Working as a Room Attendant you will be interacting with our Guests so conversational English is essential, as is the ability to work on your own for periods of time. a vital cog in the Malmaison machine ensuring all bedrooms are clean and tidy for our guests arrival and continued stays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all guest bedrooms within the hotel are cleaned daily to the highest standards, with an eye for detail to meet guests' expectations of a perfect night's stay.
• Interact with guests; conversational English is essential; work independently when required; contribute as a vital part of the housekeeping team to maintain clean and tidy bedrooms for guest arrivals and stays.
• Maintain flexible scheduling practices: shifts usually between 9am - 3pm, 5 days out of 7; start times can be flexible between 9am - 10am; discuss earlier start times, flexible contracts, or weekend work at interview.
• Full training in the use of chemicals and equipment will be provided.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role isn't required but a positive attitude and desire to make a difference within the hotel is essential.
• Ability to work as part of a housekeeping team and uphold high standards of cleanliness.

We actively encourage internal development and progression. Malmaison is on target to have 100 new apprentices in the business by year end. Candidates for this position would be given the opportunity to enroll on our apprenticeship scheme after they have completed their probationary period.
