What you'll be doing as Repairs & Maintenance Manager:
As the new Repairs and Maintenance Manager, you'll take full ownership of responsive maintenance and void property turnaround; driving performance, improving systems, and working cross-functionally to reduce downtime.
- Manage and streamline the voids turnaround process to reduce costs and improve readiness
- Oversee all responsive repairs and maintenance issues via external partners
- Lead and refine the contractor retainer model, ensuring delivery, value, and accountability
- Monitor, track, and improve KPIs and service levels across the repairs and maintenance function
- Work closely with Capital Programmes, Lettings, and Asset teams to ensure smooth transitions and fast occupancy
- Help shape future systems and tech platforms for repairs
What we're looking for in a Repairs & Maintenance Manager:
We're seeking a Repairs and Maintenance Manager who is results-focused, detail-driven, and experienced in residential property operations.
- 5-7 years' experience as a Repairs and Maintenance Manager or similar in housing associations, PRS, BTR or managing agents
- Experience improving void turnaround and contractor delivery
- Strong understanding of repairs workflows, compliance requirements
- Able to interpret Section 20 notices and assess value for money
- Calm under pressure, analytical by nature, and proactive in finding fixes that work
