Regulatory Lawyer - CDD 6 months

Job Description

You join the Regulatory team within the Capital Markets department of the Legal Department, as a Financial Lawyer for a fixed-term contract (CDD) of 6 months. This team covers the regulations applicable to banking and financial activities, including in particular the regulation regarding the recovery and resolution of credit institutions (BRRD), the regulation relating to the provision of financial services and the regulation applicable to digital assets and securities (PILOT, MICA). It covers more broadly the coordination of regulatory monitoring within the Natixis Legal Department and participation in site work.

On a daily basis, your tasks are to:

• Advise the bank (operational lawyers from the Legal Department and business lines) in the regulatory field related to corporate and investment banking;
• Follow the relevant regulations, identify regulatory impacts and inform internal clients (Legal Department, Public Affairs, Compliance, Business);
• Work with the business lawyers on the implementation of new regulations in the areas monitored by the team;
• Participate in the evolution of legislative and regulatory texts through, among others, the participation in the work of the place and the responses made to the various consultations;

As a lawyer, you participate in the deployment, by the Regulatory team, of the new regulatory monitoring organization within the Legal Department, by co-animating this organization.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

With a higher education in law, you demonstrate a first successful experience as a junior lawyer or an apprentice at a financial institution and/or law firms, in the field of banking and financial law.

You master:

• French business and/or financial law;
• Banking and financial regulations applicable to credit institutions.

You have excellent interpersonal skills, a very good ability to listen, you are:

• Recognized for your great capacity for adaptation, initiative and prioritization, particularly due to the innovative and evolving nature of financial regulation;
• Appreciated for your writing skills, your keen legal analysis and your synthesis abilities.

You master English with a C1 level.
