Exciting Opportunity for Registered Major ortho Scrub Nurse (Band 5) - In the Tundbrige wells Area

MedicsPro are seeking experienced Scrub Nurses - Band 5 with recent NHS experience, who are looking for flexible extra shifts or full time agency work within the Birmingham Area. This opportunity is to cover Monday-Sunday, day shifts, during the hours of 8 am-8 pm. Various Working Shifts Available.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and set up surgical equipment to ensure a sterile and efficient environment.
• Assist in positioning, preparing, and draping patients according to surgical procedures.
• Support the surgical team by scrubbing in for surgery and anticipating the surgeon's needs for equipment and instruments.
• Label and document medications and other items used in the operating room accurately.
• Monitor and record the patient's respiratory and cardiovascular signs throughout the procedure.
• Communicate effectively with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure smooth and successful operations.
• Consider potential complications and develop a plan of action for any necessary lifesaving measures.
• Maintain strict hygiene standards, including washing hands and arms with surgical soap before and after procedures.
