Regional Training Officer
Location: Heathrow Airport
The Regional Training Officer, reporting to the Regional Training Manager or Coordinator, will deliver training activities across all stations within their region. This includes classroom and practical training for both initial and refresher courses.
Each officer will be a subject matter expert in at least one function and capable of delivering cross-functional training. They will support On the Job Coaches (OJC) at stations to meet local requirements, ensuring training aligns with Swissport policies. Regular assessments will be conducted to maintain training standards.
ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities:
- Conduct training as per the regional plan, adhering to Swissport policies and the Western Europe Training Services Roadmap.
- Act as the station contact for training queries.
- Manage training notices and third-party training provisions.
- Oversee training quality and CPD compliance, including CAA/IAA requirements.
- Coach, mentor, and manage training personnel (OJC).
- Ensure station compliance, induction, up-skilling, and revalidation training.
- Coordinate training communications and facilitate TTT sessions.
- Engage with stakeholders internally and externally, sharing feedback via various channels.
- Organize training facilities and complete weekly schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety, uniform, PPE, and operational procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and participate in team meetings.
- Issue performance intervention notices and conduct investigations as needed.
- Ensure inclusive training practices and completion of CPD.
- Deliver training according to schedules, plans, and targets, maintaining quality standards.
- Regularly audit training quality and ensure safeguarding and quality assurance compliance.
- Training compliance across business and safety-critical areas.
- Training quality and standardization, including surveys.
- Conduct classroom and practical observations, providing feedback.
- Maintain qualification standards and safeguarding performance.
- Control training costs and generate revenue from third-party sales.
- Monitor QHSE performance.
Essential Skills:
- Experience in managing and evaluating learning solutions across disciplines and methods.
- Leadership experience in a fast-paced, regulated environment focused on service delivery.
- Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Understanding of health and safety standards and safety target achievement.
- Organizational, negotiation, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Ability to demonstrate ROI/ROE through metrics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and IT skills.
