Job purpose ( Info ) :
Reporting to the Regional SHE Manger, to provide professional SHE support , advice and coaching at regional business level.
To be the main point of contact for a portfolio of projects, e ngaging with Project Teams, Ops Directors and supply chain peers to ensure that the business SHE policy and operating framework is promoted and effectively deployed.
To monitor and enhance safety, health and environmental standards throughout the Company considering accepted good practice and current legislation.

To be conversant with current and impending health, SHE legislation, maintaining professional accreditation and industry affiliations.

To assist in the maintenance the Company ' s SHE Management System and associated documentation .

To assist in the gathering of statistical information for reports and presentations.

To undertake site visits and monitor the performance of SES and its sub-contractors and employers and their compliance with all Company Standards and Procedures. Producing reports and monitoring close outs
To advise and support the contract teams on delivering the regional SHE strategy and the Company SHE Policy and management system.
To liaise with the clients and supply chain SHE team for their portfolio of projects.
To promote the use of EcoOnline, monitoring compliance and action close out within agreed timescale

To Investigate any accidents, incidents , and potentially hazardous practices or operations, and give guidance on remedial actions, stopping activities if necessary, until agreed action has been taken.
To review absence due to accident or injury at work to ensure that reportable occurrences are notified to the relevant enforcing authority
To produce investigation reports, assign remedial actions, and monitor close outs.

To review the SHE standards of the Company ' s sub-contractors prior to their commencement on site and monitor performance through supply chain audit s, and site engagement

Should possess good communication and influencing skills to enable SHE information to be delivered to all levels of staff from senior management to site operatives.
Should be computer literate in order to present information and write reports in a clear and concise manner

Will report to the Regional SHE Manager and work in conjunction with the Company SHE Team, SHE Director and other SHE Managers and Advisers. To monitor and guide any SHE consultants working for the business.
Specific SHEQ accountabilities ( Info ) :
Consideration of quality management as a potential root cause to safety events .
Knowledge, qualifications, skills and behaviours: Describe the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for the job. Include the need for any academic, vocational training or professional qualifications.
- Knowledge ( Info ):
Previous Building Services or Construction experience advisable .
Attained or working towards full membership of IOSH including maintaining a CPD record.
- Qualifications ( Info ) :
Safety professional training such as NEBOSH General or Construction certificate , or equivalent
Knowledge of PASMA, IPAF, asbestos, and other general construction equipment, systems, activities and associated legislation .
Knowledge of electrical safety advantageous.
Training or experience in auditing and accident investigations
- Skills ( Info ) :
Good level of communication and influencing skills Knowledge or IT systems such as Word, Outlook, Excel
- Behaviours ( Info ) :
Good levels of time management, reliability and general bearing
