Are you an ambitious Family Law Senior Associate ready for a new challenge? Our client, a highly respected specialist law firm with a reputation for excellence, is opening a new London office in January 2026. This is a rare opportunity to be a key part of a dynamic team, influence the direction of a new branch, and access a genuine pathway to partnership.

The Opportunity

As a Family Law Senior Associate, you'll play a pivotal role in launching and developing the London office. You'll manage a varied caseload of complex family law matters, build relationships with high calibre clients, and contribute to the strategic growth of the practice. This is an ideal role for a driven lawyer seeking autonomy, visibility, and the chance to shape a growing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy, child arrangements, and cohabitation disputes
  • Advise and represent clients in complex and high-net-worth cases
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members to support their development
  • Contribute to business development and the growth of the London office
  • Build strong client relationships and uphold the firm's reputation for excellence
  • Collaborate with colleagues across offices to deliver seamless client service
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 5 years' PQE in family law
  • Significant experience managing complex family law cases, including financial remedy and children matters
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK family law and relevant procedures
  • Excellent client care, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to supervise and develop junior lawyers
  • Track record of business development and building client relationships
  • Ambitious, proactive, and commercially minded
