Are you an ambitious Family Law Senior Associate ready for a new challenge? Our client, a highly respected specialist law firm with a reputation for excellence, is opening a new London office in January 2026. This is a rare opportunity to be a key part of a dynamic team, influence the direction of a new branch, and access a genuine pathway to partnership.
The OpportunityAs a Family Law Senior Associate, you'll play a pivotal role in launching and developing the London office. You'll manage a varied caseload of complex family law matters, build relationships with high calibre clients, and contribute to the strategic growth of the practice. This is an ideal role for a driven lawyer seeking autonomy, visibility, and the chance to shape a growing team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy, child arrangements, and cohabitation disputes
- Advise and represent clients in complex and high-net-worth cases
- Supervise and mentor junior team members to support their development
- Contribute to business development and the growth of the London office
- Build strong client relationships and uphold the firm's reputation for excellence
- Collaborate with colleagues across offices to deliver seamless client service
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 5 years' PQE in family law
- Significant experience managing complex family law cases, including financial remedy and children matters
- Strong technical knowledge of UK family law and relevant procedures
- Excellent client care, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to supervise and develop junior lawyers
- Track record of business development and building client relationships
- Ambitious, proactive, and commercially minded
- Salary range:£65,000-£85,000 (dependent on experience and track record)
